“They say that in the Army, the pay is mighty fine…. They give you a hundred dollars, and take back ninety-nine”
— An Army Cadence
I’m an Army Officer, commissioned in 2012 and still in active duty.
After nearly 12 years it’s possible the experiences I’ve had and the lessons I’ve learned could be helpful to the next generation of servicemembers. My family and I are living on an Army paycheck, in the thick of the problems and lifestyle that entails. I’ve deployed twice, PCS’d several times, and my wife and I are about to have our second kid on Tricare.
My objective is to provide data driven insights into the unique lifestyle and financial aspects of Army service that ultimately to have a positive impact on servicemembers and their families across the country.
